Thank you so very much for your informative videos. I was recently diagnosed with Focal Seizure in the ER by a young Neurologist on duty - the ER Doctor had me ready to admit as Level One Minor Stroke - previously had been admitted twice to the hospital as TIAs. I knew the 37 yr old neurologist made complete sense to me with his diagnosis. I'm 84 and realize I'm fortunate, perhaps, to have it known now and be on medication. My larger concern is possibly the stages of dementia I 'might' go through in the future and that is only for my family. It is called life. I just hope the diaries of sorts that I have kept through a very large portion of my life, with timelines and knowing my father's timeline/ medical history can help in some small way my own family and possibly others. Thank you for your life work for the greater good.

I am now 62. I had my first tonic-clonic seizure 13 months ago. They found a large, 2cm meningioma in my olfactory groove and concluded that was the cause. I had two more seizures before having the tumor removed. I am still considered epileptic, and will be on large doses of anti-seizure drugs for the next 5-10 years.

Thank you so much for all your information. My son just received “diagnosis” after 1 seizure 2 years ago (took a friend’s Vyvanse prescription to study) 🤨 we thought that was the reason, then this year in October and November he had a seizure. We received all tests and started Keppra but now we cannot have follow up until March? Kinda feel like we are floating out here. It’s scary to just have to wait. And he is away in college. Keppra seems to be kinda agreeing so far. Your videos and information are invaluable. Neurologist did a quick briefing but by no means did I leave feeling I knew anything my 21 year old was diagnosed with. I can’t recall the word Epilepsy even being used. Thank you, I feel like I’m getting a better grasp on his condition.

Peace be upon you. You underwent an operation, thank God, and everything was fine, but Lamictal was not taken. I did not feel losing it. I used Trileptal and Keppra. Only the question is, will the new medicine Sinobamate stop seizures? Thank you.

I have NSCLC, metastatic lung with 2 brain tumors that i had undergone cyberknife for & currently an untreated brain tumor, awaiting cyberknife therapy. I believe i have seizures. I fall asleep just about anywhere, including bathroom. For some i am partially aware & others that i have no memory of. . No identifiable reason precipitates them. I also fall out of bed & had to put a guard up. These usually happen at night. I have lost entire days with no memory if i am awake or asleep. What seems to be a good educated guess as to what may be happening. Before cancer, i did have 1 similar experience. I was thought to have sleep walked as a child. I believe it was seizures all along. I was thinking complex nocturnal seizures from my limited research & just a guess. If it is the cancer, i cannot receive immunotherapy.. i had a life threatening response to immune therapy for cancer. By the way, i just remembered that the first 2 tumors were bilateral parietal lobe small tumors. Now another is coming back on left parietal lobe. Please advise me as to a type of seizures these are. Thank you very much Doctor.

Every time my epilepsy medications are changed, it makes my seizures worse (once I was over dosed on Carbamazipe) by a neurologist. I ended up with 'nystamus' in both eyes. I now take Phenobarbital 'Phenobarbitone' (which I've been on since 1964/1965, Carbamazepine and Lamotrigine. A neurologist put me on a fourth medication 'Levetiracetam', but I got too many side effects, so I came off it. after a month or so. I have not seen a Nurologist or Epilepsy nurse for 5-6 years due to lock-down, I only have short phone calls with them, which I find useless.
