When we think of power, we think of force. But is force always the best option? Negotiator and trainer Tim Dawes demonstrates the power of compassion to influence, lead, and create better outcomes in business and everyday life. Using three remarkable and true stories, Tim shows how re-imagining compassion as a practical set of skills enables us to shift our relationships with adversaries, collaborate, and quickly invent new options we might never have considered before.

Tim Dawes is an author, trainer, speaker, and consultant specializing in turning compassion and empathy into teachable, repeatable skills. Tim teaches professionals to use empathy to forge alliances, avoid conflict, broker deals, and make sales.

As the Executive Director of two training organizations, Tim has led teams to teach emotional intelligence and negotiation skills to teams in high tech corporations and healthcare from across the U.S., as well as China, Latin America, and Africa. His award-winning book has been called “an important contribution to the humanization of healthcare” and “the antidote to what’s missing in nursing education.” Best-selling author Daniel Pink calls Tim “a pioneer of the Conceptual Age”.

i love being a highly compassionate speaker - audiences so often walk up after to share the transformations they have experienced, the new perspectives they never felt safe to consider... because of the compassion in my voice - the heart I shared in my words and tone. Love it!

Powerful talk Tim. Compassion is power and what happens when you change from "this will not stand" to "what do you need?" Thank you for sharing your compelling case for compassion with high-stakes, great-outcome examples.

Compassion is a NEED. Faith, hope, love, and compassion are one of the most important factors to life which in one way or another connect themselves.

Compassion exists at my core. Not sure where I could provide the most to others. Feeling stuck mid career

Compassion is love in action - the most powerful force in the world. There is so little of it in this superficial, selfish, greedy, corrupt world. Which has negative affects on psyches, especially those who were dehumanised through childhood abuse and emotional deprivation- and they child goes out as a weirdo and then bullied. Usually end up incarcerated- all could have been prevented if some showed that person they were valuable and mattered. What a world it all would love neighbour as thyself.

JUST GIVE PRAISES TO YAH, THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS, INSTEAD OF TAKING OFF AND MAKE IT SOMETHING ELSE!
*Why not just quoting the Holy Bible???*
The son of The Creator YAHAWASHI taught us all things about having compassion.
Matthew 18:33
[33] *Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?*

Matthew 9:36-38
[36]But when he saw the multitudes, *he was moved with compassion on them, * because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
[37]Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
[38] *Pray ye therefore YAH of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.*

Matthew 9:28-30
[28]And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and YAHAWASHI saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
[29] *Then touched he their eyes, saying, ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH BE IT UNTO YOU.*
[30]And their eyes were opened; and YAHAWASHI straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

And many more scriptures about having compassion.
