The fact that Daurgothoth will sometimes leave his lair *just* to go enjoy the company and songs of a beautiful woman is absolutely hilarious, but also gives him an insane amount of depth. This has happened so many times, that lone female bards are warned that the creeping doom might just be sitting down at their campfire. Though it doesn't say he harms them, or even really does anything but listen and converse. Which means, in all, he's still something that can be reasoned with. Which is insanely fascinating to think about.

What I expected from a CR 50 ancient black dracolich:
- Pure evil
- Cunning
- Planning the end of the world

What I actually got from the most powerful entity in the entire Forgotten Realms:
- Fucking loves magic
- Wants to be left alone
- Made multiple masterpieces of magic
- Refuses to show off his incredible work because it's not ready yet
- So dedicated to his craft that he doesn't care if it kills him
- Takes time off sometimes to go out and enjoy good music from pretty bards

I like this dude

Oh gods, the idea of a dracolich being "trapped" by unknowingly reforming into the skeleton of a psuedodragon may be my favorite headcanon.

Okay, I need a group of five female bards, some beers and a lava lamp.

The mission codename will be "Spice Girls".

In Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark, there is a Dracolich in the Underdark named Vix'thra. It had the same draconic stats to Daurgothoth but without the wizard and archmage levels. I wonder if it was inspired by Daurgothoth.

What the hell, second video in such a quick succession, and Daurgototh at that? You aren’t holding any punches, I am extremly happy we get in depth video about this dracolich, but expected we will get few other chromatic/metalic ancients first.

Loved the video as usual. I remember that older video when you touched briefly on the strongest dragons so it's great to go so in-depth. I know you have a crazy schedule for videos/ideas you're working on but have you ever though about discussing the Lady of Pain down the line?

> "almost nobody even knows this dragon even exists"
> "Hey btw, cute lady bard, if you ever see a lone male human that could be Daurgothoth trying to bang you."

Character idea: you are the offspring of Daurgothoth mating with an unwitting bard, part of his ongoing experiments create offspring. You grow up to become a Warlock with 'the Undead' patron, but the way your magic is produced is flavored more like that of a sorcerer. Why? because in addition to gaining access to magical undead abilities, you inherited from Daurgothoth his natural capability to manipulate magic. In other words, because you are the offspring of such a powerful entity, you essentially *are your own patron*. You ability to sculpt your growing magical abilities to your own preferences is then represented in your choice of eldritch invocations and pact boon.

I love that there is practically a god living just a few miles from Waterdeep, one that could wipe the city from existence in a matter of hours, and there's basically nothing that can be done about it, No one could stop him.

So bad ass! I want to run him in a game. Not as an end boss as he would kill any adventuring group, but as a social encounter. Oh man is he cool.

Is it weird that I kinda just wanna sit down to share some donuts and coffee with this dragon/lich/demigod to chat about magic and stuff?
I mean, I definitely shouldn't, he would no-doubt find me incredibly dull and being anywhere close to this being, even with no ill intent whatsoever, would most likely be extremely dangerous....
...but still.... =)
