This is a topic that I actually know a lot about being in a competitive Arts and Musical Theatre High School for 4 years of my life, so this was a fun video to make. I’m a theatre kid and I can confirm I have met every type of theatre kid that you’ve mentioned. As for myself, out of the types of theatre kid’s you’ve listed, I think I’m the above average kid. This is because I am semi decent at singing and I can act fairly well. I can’t dance for the life of me though. I really do get the whole hidden talent thing for girls though. I have a twin sister and I can honestly say that she’s a really good actor but, since males are more sought after, I was almost always a part of the main cast but she was always a dancer. It’s pretty sad. Great video btw!

To be honest, as an ensemble girl it sucked getting thrown in ensemble every year. (not that I think I deserve anything different) but I’ve had some of the best theater experience in ensemble. I much prefer it over titled roles a lot of the people in ensemble are freaking awesome. if everybody works hard you guys have a lot of time to get to know each other and form a bond and it’s really fun.

I had a friend in ensemble, and every time we had to stage chatter while speaking roles were having scenes, we would threaten to murder each other quietly.🤣😭

I'd like to think I'm the "above average theater boy" but the girls were not a big fan of a chubby little freckle faced kid so I didn't stand out much. That was at a bigger school. I moved back to a smaller school and was.. well the best at theater, landing big roles and doing it with.. almost ease... Minus my stage fright..
