We’re so used to Super Saiyan being used against equally overpowered villains so we forget that it’s not just a conventional power-up but a legendary transformation that the heroes with the prodigal talent manage to upgrade time and again- said transformation more than making them above most individuals- not those rare exceptions that are the strongest in their universes/managed to cheat into being more overpowered/part of the divine hierarchy throughout the multiverse even without the training.

This fight goes to show how incredible such a transformation would be to conventional armies

I like how they give importance or at least give the respect to SSJ that it deserves, they make it look like a unique transformation by leaving Goku that yellow aura when he returns to his base state
