I think it would be nice gie it a try, I am very disappointed with the actual Phones OS in the market, Android has a lot of downsides, also iOS and so far Windows Phone is not an option, I want my old N900 and Maemo working with better CPu, GPU and more RAM, and for sure the Alien Dalvik to be able to install apks.

Why do people look at phones with a unique OS and ask if it could run android app?? If you want android apps stick with android. There are thousands to choose from. If u want something new and different, try it with its alternatives. It worked for me. I haven't used an android phone in about 3 years. Been using Windows and Blackberry 10 phones. You'll be surprised to discover there is more out there then Andriod and iOS!

How have I never heard of this phone? Everyone knows what the PinePhone is, how come this has gone under the radar? Is there a certain reason? Should I be buying this instead of a PinePhone until the price goes down?

Is this phone also compatible with Android? Like, can I install Android apps through the Google play market on there?

slightly disappointed in Ubuntu with this phone. I'm over Android and don't really use apps other than the basic ones, so this could have been perfect if they polished the ui and performance. From videos I have seen the ui looks laggy, apps take a while to load and I'm not a fan of scopes. Also not available in Australia, which if it was I'd probably buy it out of curiosity but probably still stick with my Android phone.

Dude most devices in the world use linux, so don't say it like it is a new thing :)))
