I cried when Cassini reached ultimate discontinuity. This made me cry again. I remember seeing all the people who had been part of this mission for so many years with tears in their eyes and pride in their smiles. Thank you for posting this video!

The most insane part of this is scientists planning its trajectory and having it use gravitational pulls from other planets/the moon to swing it around. NUTS

One of the most successful mission by humans, the journey of cassini was just extraordinary.

Every time I see a picture from one of our satellites aimed back at us from what ever moon or planet it's researching, I am just at a loss for words. The pale blue dot, the blue dot with a white dot near it, it just never ceases to amaze me just how small or far we are from these cosmic wonders. And how far humanity has come in terms of space exploration and research.

It's amazing how space can be so hostile, and yet beautiful at the same time.

Funny how a satelite sent in 1997 was sending images 1.2 billion kilometers away from saturn and i cant watch a video in 1080p.

I worked at JPL on the two cameras for Cassini. It was an interesting, challenging, and enjoyable project.
Certainly pleased that it all worked so well. That wasn't always the case. So impressive to me is the navigational group that programmed the spacecraft during such a complex journey. I would like to see a video of how they did it.

This video towards its end could make anybody emotional. The content was outstanding and the narration top class. Very nice.

Why don’t I ever hear about these events in the news?

As I sit here suffering from a broken rib, this gave me some comfort and helped take my mind off of the intense pain. This was truly beautiful

Why do the best videos, which are the most planned and thought out educational ones have like no ads but ones of youtubers who play a game have like 4 in 10 mins? Wouldn’t mind if your vids had more ads, you deserve the money
