Vikings fan here. This is one of the most exciting upcoming regular season games I can remember in a long time. Almost apocalyptic.

This is gonna be a great game. Lions offense is clicking, but the Vikings D is no joke. The Lions are missing a big piece in Hutch, but Darnold has been held in check before by the Jets. NFL should have moved this game to primetime. This will probably be the game of the week.

The Lions are moving different this season. Jared Goff is on a generational run.

But the Vikings Defense is a brick wall.
If I could only watch one game this week, it's this one.

Every game in the NFC North has meaning to it. All 4 of these teams are going to be in a dogfight before the end of the regular season

This game is the most important game for both teams and will definitely be a battle. Hopefully the Vikings keep it rolling! Also wishing Aiden Hutchinson a speedy recovery! SKOL!

This gonna be the best game so far. The two best teams in the NFC battling it out to see who's truly the top team of the division.

Lions fan here this is going to be a crazy game but lest not forget that these two teams meet again at the end of the season. My heart can’t take it I just want Sunday to be over.

Whichever way the scale tips, I'm just hoping the game ends at or within a 7 point differential. The NFC North is at a collective 17-5, and every team is above .500 for Win%. I would love for this level of competition to last through the season. And I'm saying this as a Vikings fan!

It’s hard to assign the appropriate context to these games. A win is a win in the NFL. It’s really any given Sunday any team can beat another and most games are decided by a touchdown or less in the NFL.

On paper, the Vikings strength of schedule is better however it lacks the context that the Lions played two teams that they beat in the playoffs last year and both of those teams, Rams and Buccaneers, played with a chip on their shoulder against the Lions. The Lions also played with chips on their shoulder against Seattle and Dallas. While both of those teams were missing significant players on their front 7 and secondary. The same can be said for the lions who were missing a starting safety, linebacker, and defensive lineman. The records really didn’t matter in those games; there was familiarity on both sides, and there were story lines that added to the intrigue of each game. Also, no one plays their starters in the preseason anymore, all the teams were shaking off rust the first couple of weeks of the season.

It’s a team game and it’s a good thing the coaches watch film and consider all the variables at play. As a fan, we get to share our opinions based on what we think we see and our emotions for the teams in which we are fans. Based on what I have seen, the coaches and players sure seem to have a lot of respect for each other. Flores defenses have caused Goff problems in the past yet Flores respects the challenge ahead of his team and his defense. Goff has also improved against the blitz. Campbell knows that Minnesota won the division a year before the Lions did and before all the injuries last year, the Vikings were still considered a favorite to win the division. He understands the challenge ahead of his team especially being on the road in the toughest division in the NFL. A win by Minnesota puts them in the driver seat in the division. Considering all the superbowl hopes for the Lions, coupled with loss of Hutchinson, that would create a huge mountain to climb with one of the toughest remaining schedules in the league for them to reach that goal.

Im a Lions fan however I respect all opponents. The Lions need a win more than the Vikings at this stage of the season, are the underdog, and are motivated by the loss of Hutchinson. No doubt the Vikings remember the losses to the Lions last year and have heard all the Super Bowl talk surrounding the Lions team. I’m sure they want to beat the Lions and prove the start to their season is not a fluke.

It should be fun but Go Lions!!!
