Washington wildfires: Evacuation orders, road closures

Lewis County officials have issued Level 3 and Level 2 evacuations for areas near the Goat Rocks Wilderness Area, due to a wildfire that grew rapidly Friday afternoon. Portions of White Pass (US 12) are closed in both directions and Stevens Pass (US 2) is closed near Skykomish

I got ash on my vehicle in Snohomish, Wa. today, Got me thinking about May 18th, 1980 When Mt. St. Helen's erupted that day was insane, I was 8 years old and honestly thought the world was ending. It went from morning to night the mountain erupted at 8:32 am killing 57 people and covering our town in thick grey ash all of the adults were silent and scared at 8 years old I realized how fragile humanity truely is.

I’m from Washington state, I prayed for some rain, and protection to everyone, especially all who is dealing with wildfires, evil, or worse. I woke up to a lil rain, thank you god. The air quality is bad. Be safe everyone.

I am so glad that you chuckleheads find this funny...I left my camp about 30 minutes before the highway was closed behind me... there was no indication of this fires magnitude at the time... can't get back now...it's not funny...many lives will be altered by this event...help if you can...

Here in germany where i live about 30 kilometers or 19 Miles away a wildfire started near the Brocken (the biggest mountain in the northern parts of Germany) where they had to ask (italy i think) to send firefighting Planes because Germany doesn't have any.
