It reminds people that they are evil when they see your virtue.

For me “no good deed goes unpunished” is a favorite saying.

Living a virtuous life is a hellish life.

Its very real sir Jordan, very real. I hv been tormented n traumatized n even ostrasized alot bc i always chose the path of virtue.I dont think its smth that comes with forcefulness but i think its abt reflex.Virtue is not planned, it is innate n bc of its innate essence, it comes out outwardly with simpleness rather than forcefulness.Once you start thinking virtue is something that is planned n exeecuted on a manifestly physical level then its a mistake, but once u recognise the fact that it comes with practised ease, then u hv no struggle being n embodying virtuosity.

If they punish me for doing something virtuous then My GOD will bless me way more than they could punish me YAY BLESS THE LORD

This is on point. I’ve had every type of abuse there is, and hands down the one which damaged me the Most (because I was resilient enough to use art to get through the others), was dating an A-hole who sulked and criticised every good thing I did 😮

We're already living in a state where the righteous are being punished for doing what's right.

Very much how I felt being special forces.

A woman at work reported me to the MD for “making up my hours” (what actually happened was the trains where cancelled and I spent the morning stuck at the station) this was the day after I’d offered to log into my emails during my holidays to ensure an order she placed didn’t get delayed. Never ever ever again will I help her. She made me feel so bad.

That society DOES exist. Where people are punished for being virtuous -- I see it everyday in my country

It's called persecution for righteousness sake.

Insurance doctors profit from doing just that by ignoring the truth and writting a desposition on the suffering injured patient, my run in with hell is just that with them

Basically what it feels like to be a millennial. Get good grades, go to college, don't do drugs, get married, have a family.... we did all that and have been existential punished for it. Student debt, no jobs, high divorce rates, most everyone has depression, working so much you don't get to see your kids.

Brings the truth of people’s true evil selves.

I broke up w my ex and he punished me convincing my 8 yr old twins that my love, doing art and going on hikes with them was me trying to ‘make them dependent on me’ and ‘manipulating them into loving me more than him’.
I’ve never known a greater evil evil.
They didn’t believe it - but subconsciously it got in. They won’t let anyone do anything for them to this day.
Nietzsche was correct.
