Ronin is the most badass word for unemployed.

The most important part of this clip is that the Warlord considered them Samurai instead of Ronin when he let the son live... so they died with honor...

Every movie that Keanu Reeves is in is actually him just living one of his reincarnations as the One. The matrix is just when he finally realizes it.

I was surprised to learn that this movie was (very loosely) based on a true story. This ceremony actually happened and the tombs still exist to this day.

I can make an exception for him because he's your son, but not for the rest of you even though I admitted that you were totally in the right.

I'm constantly surprised this movie didn't do better numbers. It's fantastic. It's the kind of film everyone claims they want from Hollywood, then when they give it to us, no one actually turns up to see it.

He doesn't blend in at all. It's just like "here are all these people who are going to gut themselves and here's Keanu Reeves just chillin"

its strange, ive done a bit of research of the events this story was based on, turns out that the shogun was in a bind, on the one hand, the 47 ronin had disobeyed his commands, but they also gained a huge popularity with the public, the shogun had to sentence them to death for disobedience, but ordering them to commit seppuku allowed them to die with honour.

I'm so pround of Sanada Hiroyuki who played Oishi. Pretty much he's the only actor who's capable of beautiful sword fightscenes.

If there was ever a live action movie or series of samurai Jack i would 100% pick Keanu Reeves as Jack

Legend has it that he used a pencil to take his own life.. after all, it was the only weapon that could kill him.

I find this a waste of good men, they are willing to do any things for their lord, but let them all die for no reason.

Love Keanu Reeves, grew up watching his movies. Was 9 years old when Point Break came out, then Speed, Constantine, Matrix Series and now John Wick. He seems to be a genuinely humble good guy. Can’t wait for the Matrix 4!
