Dang near crying because I have to go for surgery to remove the fibroid that is blocking my cervix. I am so scared I have high blood pressure. I keep praying and I know I must have faith in God but I am so scared.

Doctors are wonderful they spare you all the details. My doctor ....you are a strong lady after this surgery. I actually got up and cleaned my private bathroom the next day in the hospital they were lol... I brought my cleaning stuff with me. I am from JA cant help it. Nurses ...we have cleaning staff ... me i know but just making sure..

Are staples or stitches used to close the skin's incision? I am going to be receiving an open myomectomy in 19 days, so I am gathering as much info.

I had an open myomectomy 10 days ago and this video has helped me better understand the procedure. However, I'm wondering if the abdominal muscles were sutured back together and if not why.
Hoping someone can explain.
