Goon Park, Koreatown, shopping, and the train station connects to so many other areas with just a short train ride made Shinjuku a great place to stay for us.

Kabukicho is the top pick for me! Has a little bit of everything, food, stores, claw, machines, etc

But the park next to MGB is also nice - the New York bar @ Hyatt - VR @ Kabutchiko tower - Hanazono Shrine are also nice for a visit

Spent a week in Shinjuku in Aug 2024 and after a few days I figured out that its not for me. Lots of food and bars, but I don't drink when overseas anymore, bad Iceland memory, and all the really great food had long waits kinda spoils the idea for me. Lots of "kyakuhiki" at night trying to get you into a bar, and some don't like it when you say no. The Tokyo Metropolitan Gov. Building was great to finally get to see, my first attempt I went on a Tuesday I believe and the observation decks were closed but they let me and another poor soul go to the cafeteria floor. Gyoen park and Yoyogi park are a great walking areas and never get old to me. Shibuya just down the way has some nice shopping opportunities if that's what your into as well. I've been there a few times over all but never really looked around "Shinjuku" till 2024. I still recommend you go and check it out for yourself as it might be more your style than mine.

Shinjuku has a dirtier feel to it compared to Shibuya, I prefer Shibuya or Ginza myself

I got lost for 30 mins trying to find the exit my first time taking the train in Shinjuku. There are no exit signs
