US COVID hospitalizations surge as Delta variant spreads

Officials in the United States say the Delta variant of COVID-19 is spreading like "wildfire". In the past two weeks, cases increased dramatically, with hospitalizations in some States reaching record levels.
The Biden administration says a lockdown is unlikely, but things will get worse before they get better.
