The Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, has now spent his second night in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He is accused of allegedly laundering and diverting about eighty billion naira.

If all the funds stolen in Nigeria from 1999 to date are recovered and channelled towards the right direction and effectively managed, Nigeria would be the very best country to live in, at least one of the best in the world. But, some selfish, inhumane, irresponsible and greedy people would prefer a situation where corruption would rather be a daily routine, a procedure for survival.

The National Assembly is the Nigeria greatest threat when it comes to laws because their all into corrupt practices, so Nigerians should not expect any changes when it comes to corruption. If most of the top political elites can afford to buy private jets then we are far away from solving corruption. Nationals assembly needs to be scrapped and the laws needs to be strengthened with iron hands.
