San Bernardino authorities uncover massive illegal, underground marijuana grow operation

Once investigators entered a door in the base of a storage container on the property, they found a 14,000 sq. ft. underground bunker filled with over 6,000 marijuana plants. Rina Nakano reports on San Bernardino law enforcement's efforts to crackdown on drug operations in rural parts of their county.

The sheriff's department could care less about the plants, growing equipment, water usage, trash or contamination. They want the money plain and simple those folks were legally robbed using "asset forfeiture."

The D.A. called the product counterfeit. The real problem is that the state has created an unfair and unworkable system for the marketing of what is a legal product. No one is required to divulge where they purchased it. It's about the money. Then take your cut and leave the man alone.
