Why do advertisers and consumers think "military grade" are synonyms with durable and robust? I spent 15 yrs in the military and trust me, even in Special Warfare, the gear is almost always made by the lowest bidder. We had to buy our own "non DOD system" gear if we wanted it to truly be tough.

Started hiking 4 years ago, staying in Airbnbs, and thought overlanding would be cheaper and more fun. So far, I am $1k into my investment, and I've only bought the cheap stuff (not including my kayak and gear that I got in January). Now, I need another $1k for some boxes. The way things are going, I am going to spend more money on one trip than I did in my first 4.

I'm all for cool and sturdy gadgets for overlanding myself (I own a bunch of Pelican cases) but do you think this buying hundreds of dollars worth of cases to house a few dollars worth of camping gears/utensils is getting out of hand? No matter how I try to wrap my mind around it, I still fail to do the math. I roll my eyes of the just before I click thy "Buy it" button! 🙄🤦

Does anyone have a roam 86l cases? I really need the height measurement without the lid on. Basically from bottom to the highest point on the case without the lid.

My Roam case is garbage. Left the lid open for about an hour. Came back and it wouldn't seal. Wrote to Roam. They never got back to me. I wouldn't order from these people if my life depended on it.

Yeah these do look nice, the 105 looks like a perfect size to fit everything you need and not too big. These are definitely an investment for outdoor enthusiast that love the outdoors and even hunting/gun gear. The tricky part will be convincing my wife we need these too lol. I'm just starting to get into overlanding. About to sell my shitty jeep patriot and get a toyota forerunner lol. My parents have a Rubicon as well and love it. Cool set up and great video!
