I think the shadow signifies that his mom asking for help and him ignoring her killed the shadow thus killing his mother by not coming to her aid as the shadow died so did his problems due to someone else's mistakes....meaning his mom died...

Good God these stories are scary more in the manner of crippling destitution and heart-wrenching life situations leading to trauma and sever depression and anxiety. I can't even finish it. Going to leave a Like for you, Daniel cc movie man, of course, but the story with the kid Nick and his paraplegic Mom... no.. no no, I can't watch it.. picturing it as if I'm in that situation...

I've seen the first 6 episodes. The acting is good but cannot make up for the weak scripts and stories. The screenwriters aren't clear about what they are trying to tell us. Therefore the story endings are incomplete and unsatisfactory. Didn't they study the original Twilight Zone series at writing school?
