Excel for Chemical Engineers Episode 3: Data Visualization

Admittedly, Excel is not the best software for producing quality data plots for engineering applications. Other softwares, such as Matlab, Origin, or GraphPad are much better for this purpose, although these are all less ubiquitous than Excel.

However, with a little effort and knowledge, Excel can be a useful tool for plotting data quickly. In this video, I discuss how to produce a graph that shows the relationship between a dependent variable and an independent variable (counter-intuitively called "scatterplot" in Excel). I also demonstrate good graph-making practice, by reducing visual clutter, labeling axes, and including tick-marks on axes.
