ive been a fan of glass animals for about 5 years, and in 2020, when i heard that they were getting popular again because of the current fandom im in, it made me so fricking happy. this is one of my current favorite songs by them :D

I always think about this song because, when I first heard it, I had a dream. I had a dream that my dog that I had since I was in second grade (that died a year prior to this song’s release) was with me and this song was playing in the background. I heard the lyrics “You look so broken when you cry, one more and then I’ll say goodbye” and woke up crying. I’ll never see her again, I’ll never get to hug her or throw her favorite toy for her ever again. I’ve lost her, but I’ll never forget her. And that’s what this song is about: Loving someone but knowing that you have to part ways.

I’m finally allowing myself to grieve and feel the loss of someone who was precious me, and I just really wanted to thank Glass Animals for giving me some sense of closure even if it was unintentional
