Obviously a meteorite. But, being a war zone makes you pause for a second and think could it be something war related. But 99.9% it's a meteorite.

Meteor, anything else isn't that fast. Satellites/debris is slower.
Rockets are slower.

Its a meteor flaring up in atmosphere and exploding, due to its high velocity and atmospheric friction.

Meteorite is the the thing that is left over if a meteor hits the ground. As the ending "-ite" for stone indicates. (compare to magnetite, stalagmite, pyrite, granite etc.)

I have seen a meteor strike once in my life live. It becomes like Early dawn for about 2-3 seconds.

Looks like a particularly bright meteor/fireball. The lyrids come around this time of year, I’m pretty sure.
