Thanks a bunch! I thought I'd have to buy a new starter, but after dropping it in my 1992 Chevy Suburban 1500 2 wd (with the 350), I noticed that there was a frayed and dangling purple wire. I believe this was to the S terminal. I taped it up with Gorilla Tape and put a ring terminal on it, found the right washer & lock washer, and nut (8mm fine thread) and VOILA! Now I'm waiting for my son to help me lift it up back into position. I'm not strong enough! (I'm a 73 yr old retired gas station mechanic!)

Looks to me like a diode is a good idea for a stock starter? I'd have to see full diagram, but sounds like it's important to prevent pulling any portion of starting current through ignition circuit & coil? I assume your kit has directions on which end attaches to starter. I'm still running dual points [yeah, I know], so thanks for the video!

On a 2018 L83 engine starter, is there just 12 volt, purple (S) wire and the (r) wire which can be yellow or pink?

67 Camaro 396 MSD blaster coil and full sized delco reman starter. I do not have the yellow wire to my starter only the main feed and S purple lines. I was having hot start issues and believe this might be the issue. Do you have a wire/diode or part that can help me out. Thanks!

Great instruction. I have a 5.3L Motor from a 2003 Chevy Silverado installed in my 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass. I am using the original ignition switch but matching this with the 5.3 Engine with its starter and 4L60e Transmission with a Park Neutral Safety Switch. Is it possible of providing a drawing or diagram that supports my configuration? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Could you explain, please? An idea of a motor with an Intertor to fill the battery and a Dimaror motor to spin a huge wheel at a good speed, is it possible?
I am looking for a suitable medium to circulate electricity, is it possible for example ???

Hello, do I need this wire if I am using a new HEI distributor with a factory GM starter?

Cranking voltage is about 9.6 volts so the coil runs at this voltage in both cranking and running modes.

What do you do w/ the White/Orange/Purple wire that runs from the coil to the fuse panel w/ this setup? (1967 Camaro)
