Please help. I am currently trying to find a document translator in the DR. My fiance who is Dominican lives there and we want to get married there next month. The DR consulate near me in the US wants a few hundred dollars. From what I understand, I can email my apostilled docs to a translator there to get started and then bring the originals?. Could you PLEASE recommend who I can use in Higuay or Punta Cana? Thank you so much. 🙏

14) How do I get my documents translated?


The Consular Office provides translation services from ENGLISH to SPANISH for documents to be used in the Dominican Republic. Translations made by the Consular Office do not require an Apostille to be valid in the Dominican Republic. All documents must be original and Apostilled. The processing time is between 5 and 15 working days depending on date of travel, prior requests and staff availability. All documents can be submitted by mail. Applications must include a self-addressed stamped envelope. The fee is US$95.00 per page to be covered with a money order payable to:

You can also have your documents translated into Spanish by an official translator in your state of residency and both the original and the translation notarized and Apostilled by the appropriate authority.
