How to Add Voice Over to Google Slides

As of the recording this video, Google Slides does not have a native audio recorder on the app, so the only way to record voice over is to do it externally.

Wow thank you for the Fantastic vid w/ great tips! However, I missed 1 little step / click. At 1:30, you start to explain how to "insert audio."

Then at 1:43, you go to your drive & upload the audio. Sorry, I got lost there. Maybe because I'm not familiar w/ Google Drive.

Hi! I love this video. How did you make this video? I love how it toggles from video of you but then also you share screen and show your visuals while keeping the in screen video as well as the visual screen. This is what I want to do for my students.

Windows voice recorder saves in .m4a format, which Google Slides doesn't support, wtf. I have to record my voice outside of the slides, convert it, then transfer to Google drive. Such a pita

Google Slides SUCK. PowerPoint is 100% better. Do NOT be fooled. And I prefer Google Docs to Word any day, but NO GO on the slides. How ridiculous they don't have an audio feature. Untold amounts of time I will never see again has been spent on what should have been a simple recording.
