As I've said many times before. It's your car, you can do what you want with it. I like what you've done tbh.

I always loved getting R/C cars when I was a kid for Christmas presents but this is on ANOTHER level!

Bought it to run it! You said it best, the box can go on the shelf to look cool while you ENJOY what you bought

I love it, and I’m glad you drive it I don’t like shell queens. You build, drive and learn. Super work and it looks amazing.

I bought a my first Tamiya, a TT02D some time back and still haven't got round to starting it. I've got the one way diff, upgraded drive shaft etc. and a dumbo RC with the gyro receiver, so I can build it from the ground up for what I want to use it for. I've always bought RTR or rollers and not built anything since the original Technics lego with the working gearbox back in the late 80s. I'm not a purist of any type so I think if you paid for it, you build it and enjoy it however you want and this looks like a perfect way of doing so.

I'm all for nerding out on the build, but there's nothing wrong with driving a shelf queen. Lovely car, nice to see it driven (even if it's the only time)

One of my favorite builds as well. Maybe one day I’ll come across this kit for a good deal!

God, what a beautiful car. Porsche's were drift cars long before there was drift cars. In think I would have to make a mold of the body then a plaster cast to vacu-form another body. That thing is just too beautiful

Beautiful!!! Great job. The build is the part of the hobby I love most. Painting the body exactly how I LIKE IT makes it all mine! Running it is the actualization of all the work put into it.

This is right on so many levels 😮 Here, Hare, Here. Looks sick!

Great job, it does need thrashing though.
I converted my 1980s midnight pumpkin to 3s brushless.
Not managed to run a battery flat yet.
But it’s truly mental 😁.

modern motors, & electronics in vintage Tamiya's (re releases) make them infinitely more fun. the only Tamiya I have that runs the stock "silver can(s)" is the Clod.
