Back in 2013-14 I needed to use Windows on my Mac. Windows 8.1 is the first Windows that fully supported my Early-2013 Retina MacBook Pro. The UI is finally optimized for Retina displays and it looks great compared to Windows 7 and 8. Even the non-retina app looks great with proper scaling and text rendering (4 pixels as one). That said, I finally have a looks-perfect Windows to use after months since I got my MacBook.

While I still prefer Windows 10 when using as a laptop instead of tablet, 8.1 was fun to use and solved my problem.

My daily driver has windows 10 in it and then windows 11, and then, I found out in the official website of the manufacturer that the only operating system compatible is: windows 8 and 8.1, and then, I installed windows 8.1 on it, and it looked great, and I love the idea of Microsoft account integration, it became more easier to use than windows 10, I will stay in windows 8.1 until my pc dies, the metro ui is amazing tho.
