Waste Time with God

I love "wasting time" with Jesus in adoration every Friday after Mass. I can honestly say that sitting in church is the only time that I'm truly at peace and I feel safe; this is God's love!

I love to be super productive but wasting time with God is just so fulfilling. With His grace I can balance things out. I love you Lord.

❤ this. I was always such a sack hound (as my husband used to say). But in the last 3-4 years and as his physical health started to fail, I get up early while he sleeps and come downstairs, say my morning prayers and to sit in silence, stare out the window and try to clear my mind, reflect on all of God’s work. I see His hand in everything. That time spent in quiet reflection sets the tone for the rest of the day. It may be the only peace and silence I get the rest of the day, so I savor that time.

God spoke to Elijah in a gentle whisper. 1st Kings 19. Imagine being so close to God that you could hear Him whisper in your ear! That is my desire! My longing in the silence. Every Adoration I attend.

Well said Bishop Barron! I have silent conversations all throughout the day & evening wih God, similar to a child having an imaginary friend. Although now, I know God is really here in Spirit, Listening to me and Guiding Me. I even did it as a teen. Even though during those years, I didn't always follow His Will or Listen to Him. I learned my lesson. ❤
