We plan 4 hrs first thing in the morning on weekends for chores and projects. Then the rest of the day is for fun stuff. Good motivator!!!

All good ideas. I love weekends at home with the cats and dogs and hubby. Sometimes we have our neighbors over for ‘wine night’ on our patio. Good conversation with a 🍷 is the best. I love my library. They have so many programs for free. I go to the book club, the true crime club, and one off events like a Vietnamese coffee tasting just this week. All for free!

We have 2 projects on the the list for the next 3 days. Truck radiator hoses are installed but, truck heater hoses are purchased, more coolant purchased, and 3 days in a row will give us some beathing room; so we dont expect to spend more money but it still cost money. Deer fencing for a tomato patch (maybe 2 smaller) is to go up this weekend using 8' tall chain link dog kennel sections weve collected, t posts weve collected, and zip ties we had better be able to find; althpugh we actually found we had run completely out of duct tape recently. We have a few other, small projects of th 15 minute to 3 hour type for which we also already own "stuff"; ild like to get some completed, done, fini, off the list tor ever more.

We do reserve the opportunity to go gricrry shopping when the truck is finished AND if the debt ceiling is raised. Else were going to be more reserved and possiblt down to bare bones to let 1 month's money in the zmount we are used to last 2, maybe a kiss more, with some juggling. And then, if some project needs a fastener, finish, piece of hardware, etc... we will be re-joining the American Arts n Craft aesthetic using what we own, getting creative, and scrounging; or picking a new project. Truth be told, some of our nicer, pure wants, often more decor than functional projects have come about using complete scraps, freshly scrounged (found along side the road or alley way), and what ever else weve had hanging out in the garage or craft area.

Yesterday took my girls and their friend to a free splash park for two hours and we brought our own drinks and snacks. Followed by free ice cream cones from McDonald’s from coupons I’ve had in my wallet forever. Followed by a free craft we made at the library- a glass tumbler with lid and metal straw that we put some vinyl shaped like our county on it. A VERY frugal day for the win!!🙌🏻🙌🏻

Spent yesterday morning watching my cats sit in the backyard watching a baby squirrel play in the trees. This led to me spotting 3 BABY BLUEJAYS in the trees. One by one each one tried flying out of the tree. So entertaining and a once in a lifetime event for me.

This morning I moved some cat friendly items to the back porch area - Wheatgrass, a long sprig of real catnip from my garden, a water bowl and a childs Paw Patrol chair for sitting.

Rolled a couple of the cats around giving them belly rubs on the concrete covered with Honeysuckle blossoms until they were happily covered and tired of kicking me and they ran away.

Videoed one of the cats running up my ivy covered hill, climbing up a tree and jumping down and running back to me. Gave her a round of applause. All before 7:30 a.m. 😂

I love to meal prep on the weekends for the week ahead!! I go through my cupboards and see what I can find to make up some tasty treats/snacks, like muffins or homemade granola bars.
Also, my husband and like to go for bicycle rides or walks around our neighbourhood! It’s free!😊

I love puttering in my gardens. Weeding, dead heading, dividing plants, rearranging potted plants. Moving inside plants outdoors for a breath of fresh air and bringing them in to arrange in different areas. Planting seeds and later harvesting. I just do a little at a time, ongoing. I am looking out my window and see my iris' and peonies need dead heading. I'll put on my flip flops, grab my shears and a basket, to play I go. 😊.
