400whp Miata vs 400whp Mazdaspeed 3

Hey all, here are some fun computer generated runs from outer space against my friend's MS3, this is the first real shake down on the Miata, and the first time I've raced anyone at full power. Definitely needs some setup dialing but it's running strong. Full build details on the Miata available at

It's funny how I came across this video now that I think about it. My last car was a stock Miata NB 2000 year model and despite how slower and how much less power it has than my newer 2010 Speed 3 that I got last year, the Miata was still a lot more fun but because I needed a newer car that was better suited to being a daily driver while maintaining a higher level of everyday practicality I obviously ended up buying my current car. With the exception of the aftermarket wheels the Speed 3 I bought was completely stock and squeaky clean everywhere and you could tell every part visible was practically still original and I bought it for about $7500 which was a good deal considering how good the condition of the car was and so I couldn't turn it down. Still, while I love and miss the old Miata it was doing nothing except for sitting and rotting away in my garage but I finally found someone who likes and owns other Miatas who wanted to buy my old car off of me and since I knew that it would be far better off under his ownership than mine we worked out a good deal and he took it off of my hands. While my MS3 is still stock I did add an intake for the sake of being able to hear the turbo, but that's it. I now take good care of my current car so that I'll be able to keep it running for as long as possible and so far it has treated me quite well. Perhaps one day when I have the spare time and money I'll go back to buying myself another Miata again, though if this ends up being the case I'll probably end up with a much newer one than the old NB I had.
