I respect lorenzo for entering MotoGP and staking his claim rather than be in shadow of an already 7 time world champion teammate back then.
Established riders such as colin edwards on the same machine couldn't match rossi, and a young, undaunted lorenzo arrived and made a name for himself.

Undoubtedly, two of the greatest legends of the sport. Lorenzo beat valentino for the championship on the same bike. And he did it twice.
