First Responders Get Cheaper Cell Phone Plans

Cell phone plans can be pricey, but for first responders it doesn’t have to be.
You can get some great discounts from plenty of carriers. I’m rounding up the best discounts here.

AT&T First Responder Discounts

AT&T is giving you 25% off their three unlimited plans Starter, Extra and Elite.
The price for 1/line a month is $65/$75 and $80 with the %25 first responder discount you’d be saving $16/$18/and $20 a month respectively.
This discount is valid for family plans too so you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank.

AT&T also owns a smaller MVNO for first responders called FirstNet, this is another good option for first responders who want a cheaper cell phone plan. Moving on to Verizon now...

Verizon First Responder Plans
Verizon gives you $10 off 1 line, $25 off two lines, and will take $20 off your monthly bill if you have four or more lines on your account. To qualify for this discount you need one of their unlimited plans which are Start, Get More, Do More, and Play More.
PLUS you’ll get 25% off all accessories at Verizon, and you get 15% off other qualifying cell phone plans.

T-Mobile First Responder Plans
T-Mobile offers first responder plans which are basically discounted generic plans.
The plans are Magenta First Responder and Magenta Plus First Responder.
With Magenta First Responder you save $15/line/month on one line, $20/line/month with two lines, and $10/line/month with 3 or more lines.

With Magenta Plus you don’t save any money with one line with 2 lines you save $20/Line/month, With 3 lines you $7/line/month, With 4+ Lines you save $8/line/month.

Sprint First Responder Deals
Sprint is the only carrier of the big four that does not offer discounts or specific plans for first responders.

WHICH PLAN SHOULD YOU CHOOSE
So which first responder plan is best for you??
If you want more perks:
Go with T-Mobile Magenta Plus First Responder

Perks:

If you want the cheapest plan:
You should go with AT&T’s Unlimited starter at $48.75 compared to its original price of $65/month you’re saving a good chunk of money. AND on a family plan with 4 lines, you’ll save $35 dollars.
This plans comes with:
Unlimited talk and text to Canada and Mexico
Unlimited 4g data (though it may be slowed during times of congestion)

If you want more coverage:
Go with any Verizon plan. Verizon has the most nationwide coverage, so you can’t go wrong with them.

Also, FirstNet IS NOT a virtual carrier like Straight Talk or Virgin Mobile. That information in this video was false. It is a federally funded program that uses its own communications band and also AT&T's network when you BYOP, as FirstNet's technology development partner is AT&T. In times of emergency when networks are busy, your communication will take priority.
