America ~ Ventura Highway (1972)

This song by "America" who were an English folk/rock band, was released in 1972 and was a massive hit for them, and they made quite a few good songs but this one has always been my favourite one which they done. I always thought this band had a funny name for a band that was formed here in England, but i do believe some of the band members had American fathers and English mothers, Anyway this is a great song by a fantastic band "Enjoy"

i think it has to with the fact that music is emotionally attached to certain memories. (for me it is, I'm 48) and the older you get the more you cherish those memories. The 70's was the period in which i developed my first interest in music. A great time to grow up. So many songs from this time period seem special to me, more special then contemporary music.
