Smoked paprika is key for that bacony taste. I once made potatoes with the smoked paprika and my friend who was a vegetarian at the time asked if I had added bacon to the potatoes!

i fuck heavily with nutritional yeast. It’s so good on popcorn. I’m not vegan or even dieting i just really love nutritional yeast.

I've made this before. Adding smoked paprika, brown sugar, and msg gets it closer to a semi-bacon flavor. You can also do this with sliced bread! I'm not vegan; I just like trying new recipes every now and again. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Nutritional yeast, is in so many foods, if you start looking at ingredient lists you'll find it's common. BTW, MSG is found naturally occurring in many of vegetables like mushrooms for instance, and many of us vegans use it a often!❤

Liquid smoke might help with the flavor a bit. Regardless, it looks pretty good.

You can add some tofu in between two strips of rice paper and it will have some meaty texture and more nutritional value. I think also baking them is easier than pan frying.
