How to SEPARATE Yourself as a Young Hooper

What makes one basketball player stand out more than another? I get asked this question all the time, and today, I have some answers. Of course, these are from my own experiences and what I have noticed over my time playing and watching basketball.

My goal for this video was to come up with some unique ways of standing out that might not be so obvious to all you hoopers. I’ve decided to change it up and rank these 8 from least to most important in terms of standing out, although they can all be beneficial in their own ways. Check it out!

the thing that helped me most about this video is "it's just basketball, have some fun." currently am 12 years old 5'10 220 lbs and on a team and I struggle with pressure and knowing how to actually understand things on the court like press and defence or where am supposed to be at times. Since am a bigger person then my age group I fall into the center or power forward category. But I am a lot better at shooting, step backs, ball handling, and just passing. Your videos have helped me a lot and I appreciate you passing on your advice and information you have gained through all your years of your basketball carrer. I'll keep all these methods in mind when my next practice game arrives or even any game in general.

My dad also played at Colgate 96'-99' and we watch your videos every day when I come home from school. We both love the videos and we also think that it is improving me a lot. I am 12 years old and when my dad and I shoot, he says "remember what Richardson said". Thank you so much for these amazing videos. I also really want to see your Finland games!! G🏀 Raiders

Great vid! It helped a lot. Tomorrow I have a game and I'll try to talk a lot on defense and be supportive.

Although its been tough getting skill and improving my game on the two ways of basketball, I've realized a lot with this video, specially my willingness to hustle for rebounds, boxouts and blocks while still playing high level perimeter defense, which I think marks a new era in my playstyle as a wing. Great vid and thanks for the tips

When you said about the loud voice on court i new exactly what you meant. One play a little while ago i was annoyed that nobodg was moving on offense when i brought the ball up so i shouted out 'MOVE'. One of my mates was guarding me and he nearly fell over laughing cos of how loud i yelled. My teammates did move tho 😂😂😂
