Many changes went on behind the scenes at the former licensing-titan 4Kids over the course of a decade...and at one point, they almost lost the show entirely! I don't care what anyone says... I'm really glad Darren Dunstan is so passionate about the Yugioh series. It was all him, Pegasus, to reunite the original cast for BBT and DSOD, and he also directs the English dubs of 5D's, Arc-V, and the new VRAINS.

Oh Dan Green. Every time I hear Yami Yugi's voice I can't help but to hear Dan's more... lewd voice acting roles which he leaves off his resume lol.

I was hoping it might come up, but since the video focused mainly on English releases...

The Japanese actress who played Kotori in ZEXAL was known as a big fan of the card game. The Japanese staff holds monthly tournaments, and she'd said to hold the record for most career wins!

In the Japanese dub of Duel Monsters, Bakura and Honda had their each of their actors replaced after the first 40 episodes. In Bakura's case, it was due to health concerns (she eventually died), but Honda's replacement has never been given a reason.

There are rumors that the Japanese actress of Carly in 5D's being part of a high-profile cult resulted in her termination from the series, reducing Carly's role significantly despite her inportance up to that point. It's also runored that this link led to sudden rewrites, changing the Yliaster group from an ancient cult to time travellers.

*Did you Know?* The voice actor for pegasus originally did the role for Giovanni in the pokemon Musical for American audiences which had limited tours. He was so good at his voice acting; that 4kids decided to hire him for Pegasus and has played that role ever since.

*Did you Know?* In the pokemon Musical if you were lucky enough to go see it live, you were awarded with a pokemon card specific to the Musical based on the new pokemon featured in the show "Metal Mewtwo" and even had a image that was clearer to see than from what the audience could see; despite that the trading card is not made similar to the existing at the time: Pokemon Trading Card Game; so it cannot be played in it; similar to how they promoted the Pokemon movie 2000, where an Ancient Mew card featured in the film was given to those who saw it.

Man, as someone who's been a huge fan of YGOTAS since it's early days, it's weird knowing just how complicated and real all the 4kids drama was. I mean, yah, 4kids was the butt of a lot of YGOTAS jokes but dang! Also, it's great to know the actual reason for Tristan's VA change. Great job, Chris! And to Martin too!
