This is honestly the best tutorial i have found after searching through many videos for this machine, it is well explained in detail and i even loved the laugh. It felt like i was being properly taught how to use a Singer

Thank you for making this video, my great Aunts had old Singers.
We couldn't touch them when we were small, something I always wanted to learn and now I'm doing it, !!
If it weren't for you making these videos, I couldn't thread it, people learn in different ways. I'm very grateful to you. I hope to watch and learn more God bless

Thank you, my mum's had her Singer for 68 years and it wasn't new when she got it.
I couldn't seat the shuttle until your video.
Now mum can carry on taking in her trousers.

Thank you so much for making this! I'd been literally trying for hours to figure out how the thread goes, and you make it make sense!

Thank you so very much. Perfect tutorial!!! Slow enough that I could understand yet no wasted time. Camera angle is perfect. I'm learning to sew with my great-grandmother's old Singer. Sorry for the cliche but they certainly don't make them like they used to. Even after 150 years it's still moves like Silk. What a treasure to have. I look forward to seeing more of you. Your instrution skills are excellent!!! Thanks again.

Thank you so much for your wonderful videos on this wonderful old Singer machine. I have an old 1890 Singer Treadle machine and love it. I've been able to watch your video and help a few others with what you and a few other youtube tutorials have shown me. I've learned to thread, bobbin wind, oil, buy a few more bobbins, replace an old presser foot and more. Many people have a machine and are afraid because they don't know how to use it. I say, jump in and sew! If you have any questions... just look at your wonderful videos. In today's world, with youtube you can do just about anything!

God Bless you for all you do!

It's still so funny that mine still didn't do the magically go under the spring or other areas 😂 I have to use my small screwdriver to get the thread where it is supposed to magically go, for whatever reason. Thank you, I am very grateful for this video because I use it as a reference for my shuttle bobbins to thread them. I have so many different shuttles, they're so very interesting!

Many thanks for this easy to understand tutorial. I was given a very old Defiance sewing machine a week ago and was unable to discover how to fit the bullet shuttle, and I thought I’d never be able to sew with it, but now thanks to you I can use my lovely machine, which sews beautifully.Thank you!

Thank you so much for this clear and concise video. I bought a antique Gritzner Durlach a couple weeks back and I noticed bobbin but I had no idea what to do with it. This video showed it perfectly so thanks again.🙏

Thank you much.
I just Inherited my Great Grandmother's 102 year old Singer 127 I believe. Anyhow I've never sown before in my life and want to learn how to use her awsome machine. I managed to install the shuttle but the dang thing never picked up thread.. After watching your video I notice I had missed a step.. I haddent threaded the needle yet. Bingo after completing that step it picked it up properly. I look foward learning how to use it. Heck I just fixed my wife's shirt, lol 😆 Thanks again.

Great tutorial, thank you, I never realised that the bobbon had to go in with a particular direction of wind, even though I've got three machines with this type of shuttle ( 1898u, 1907 & 1934) I often have trouble on the rare occasion that I load up with thin cotten, I usually use quite thick thread, I'll ensure the "wind" is in the correct direction from now on!

Thanks for a great tutorial. I just bought a vintage hand crank singer and was dismayed to find the bobbins weren’t the universal kind. And then I was amazed you can still buy them!

Great tutorial ... I am learning about a 127J I purchased to restore the old treadle cabinet of my mother's. When she bought a new one, Singer 301A in the early 50's, the door to door salesman took her old Singer head and left the cabinet. I am going to put the 127J head back in her cabinet and have a lot to learn about the functioning of the 127J. I also, have to restore veneer on the cabinet before I put the head in the cabinet. Anyway, many thanks for the information you share...
