My Favorite Garden Mint Tea Recipe!

There are many options to use up all the mint from the garden. The easiest way and my increasing go-to on a weekly basis is this garden mint tea.

I think you’re likely either in camp “I have this all the time” or “does that even count as real tea?” Personally, I’m in the “I have it all the time!” It’s super simple, refreshing, and quenches your thirst! Give it a try and let me know what you think! Or let me know how you make your mint tea!

Ingredients:

- 2 cups mint leaves, washed and picked off stem
- 6 cups water, separated
- 2 green tea bags
- 1 lemon
- honey to taste (optional)

Instructions:

- In a large measuring glass, pour 4 cups boiling water over the prepared mint leaves and tea bags. Steep for 20 minutes. If leaves are steeped too long, the tea will become bitter.
- In a pitcher strain and discard leaves.
- Add 2 cups cold water, juice of one lemon, honey, and ice.

Yummy... I put mint leaves in ice cube trays, fill them with water and freeze. Then pop some out and put them in my glass of ice tea. It’s pretty. 🌱

You add tea bags! That’s what I have been doing so I don’t end up with light yellow/ green mint water. I’m curious as to how to make tea using mint. Just mint. Is this possible? Or no. Not really? Thanks!
