I have a lot of thick, long hair as well and go to the beauty college to get my hair done. I got a blow out, flat iron and trim for $23. I've been going to them for years and there are instructors monitoring the process.

As a stylist it doesn’t matter the age it’s the work. So I’m sure it’s not cheap. If done by the right stylist it’s worth it.

I am 70 and still tender headed. When I was her age hated my hair being straightened. Parents don't understand leave the torture straightening alone. Wash, condition wet set and put under dryer. My hair is to my knees. No press, curl perm been totally natural for over 65 years. Love it go swimming was and go! Be kind to her hair.

Her hair is beautiful and long. Keep doing her hair yourself some salons going to over charge you and will not have patient to care of her hair. Some will rush or half do her hair right. Me and my sister hair was this long like her when we was younger and had family friend do our hair and she didnt do our hair right over perming and rushing doing our hair and had no patient and very aggressive with our hair it was starting to get damaged bad. My grandma stopped her from doing our hair. and got a new hairstylist he helped me and my sister hair to grow back healthy and he was nice and very patient with our hair. We learned cant let everyone do our hair some dont care about keeping your hair healthy just all about money. You did an amazing job keep doing her hair. Thanks for sharing your video.😊👍👍

It cost the same amount as a grown woman. My 1st and last time I went to salon for a silk press they charged me $145 + 30tip. She did a great job but never again.

Do it yourself especially because of where you live as well. No, I wouldn’t go to a salon and pay $150 for a style that won’t last a day because of the humidity. It’s a waste of $150. But doing it yourself, you bond with your child. Yes it’s time consuming, but you share a moment with your kid and that’s priceless in my book.

I’m an adult—i have thick type 4 hair. It cost me at least 150, but on average 200 and the highest I’ve paid was 230 (including tip in all prices).

I just do it myself now and I do it well. I invested in the products that works and do it when I feel like it. Unfortunately, I just hate washing my hair & blow drying my hair so I’ll randomly visit a salon when I can’t be bothered.
