The Truth About 'Finding' Your Passion

The idea of “finding" your passion is absurd. There's no secret mission for which you were born that you're some how currently unaware of, but it's hiding within you. What's living inside of you are flickers of interest. Your job is to develop those flickers of interest into a full blown passion.

Another eye opener man. I can't tell you how many hours I have spend in "finding"/writing down my passion. The good thing though is that I have been following those flickers in the past in search for the ultimate purpose. Still searching... :)

Spot on Tom. I've been fluctuating back and forth on deciding what my passion is, and it hit me that really it's all about me deciding to make something my passion or not, rather than being this innate field that one day I'd wake up being so in love with. Cheers from Egypt!

So, Am I right if I think that innately we have some interests that we gravitate towards to but to develop a passion, a mission, you have to try all these things out and stick with them long enough to find out whether you want it that bad or it was just a flicker of interest which has nothing more to it than you'd want to?
Because what I always thought was that you had to try many different things and just based on that first experience, first contact with that activity, you should see if you have that interest in it. If you do- that's your passion.
