Is the Blood Death Knight Tier Set Good?

New tier sets can be exciting! While sometimes they are just a small damage or survivability boost, in some instances they may interact with your class in a more dynamic way.

When the tier set bonuses were released last week, I was pretty excited for the Blood Death Knight set. In this video we are going to do some testing with the set, see how much value it will provide, and my general feelings towards the set.

Really disappointing that neither umbillicus eternus nor dancing rune weapon interact the way they should with this set.

Do you use an addon for your damage text? Mine only ‘grows’ up, and overlaps a ton. I like how yours looks standard, but kind of fountains out.

Pretty sure they are aiming for something that you won’t need to min-max.

It’s a shame that buff doesn’t work with DRW extensions.

Speaking of DRW though, could you tell if you’re more likely to get the Vamp Blood procs when DRW is up?

I mean RNG is still RNG but it should be rolling off three hits instead of one.

The war set get me curious, it reads very weak, but maybe the "wave of force" does insane dmg

The damage buff is great ( even if it should be baseline bc BDK has no damage ... ) If there was some interaction with the talent tree, it would be good, but right now i'll keep the current one or mb 2p-2p

I know this doesn't lead to the video but I just want to thank you for all the content you do.... I've learned so much and I'm still learning back when I started brewmaster tanking in shadowlands season 1 i could barely hit 1000 rating but now as of today I'm 2425 and am pushing hero using pugs and friends. You have taught me so much even that I can time 18s and 19s and this week I'm getting that hero and dedicating it to you man. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING WE ALL NEED TO SHOW YOU LOVE 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Imo changing Umbilicus is needed either with or without the tier set.

They could either make it an active shield with a cd, shield based on dmg from blood plague

Or as i'd like to see, make blood plague add to your blood shield (mastery) with scaling from mastery, during vamp blood. This to me sounds like an awesome iteraction, making this for me, a solid choice in most content

yeah I hope both of those changes happens or we are looking at the Bdk being bottom 3 tanks for next tier, but if they don't change it I might end up playing frost dk BoS build, cuz I am 100% sure they will buff that tier set before it comes out

The Interaction between DRW and VB was my last hope to go back to BDK. Same on some Talenttreepoints for better VB. If they Change Vampiric Strength time on base of VB and added the increasing time on VB and Vampiric Strength, it would be a great set. But the Set how it is in your Video is just a bad one. Not even better then the S1 DF Set. I think i have to stay on Guardian Druid and Prot Paladin.

I believe blizzard doesn’t really care about bdks anymore.. I mean look at paladins and warriors.. both of those classes just way outclass dk.. I mean.. no balance at all.. which is sad since I love dks.
