$500, looks great. I'll stick with cinder blocks

$500 is alot for most of us, but if I had the spare money I would definitely buy this Minuteman Titan because it looks like it will last a few decades if maintained well.

Love the idea of these, but for use in my backyard, all it takes is a handful of loose bricks to fashion a rocket stove from scratch. Oh, and the bricks were just 30¢ apiece at the local box store.

Good stove.
We have a war in Ukraine. My comrade could not evacuate and remained in the occupied territory. Small cottage town. There is no electricity, no natural gas for heating and cooking. He had a rocket stove.
This stove helped him a lot to cook food and survive in the difficult conditions of the occupation.
After the liberation of his town and stories about life in the occupation, all the acquaintances try to buy similar rocket stoves.

The level of presentation was excellent. Stove review with an easy to follow cooking lesson. I'm familiar with one of these in aluminum for a hot tub that is immersed in water. Ahhhh...

Copper melts at a little over 1900 degrees F. The initial burn of wood (visible flames) takes place at about 1200 degrees. When it's down to coals it can reach about 2500 degrees.

Need a 1 month test, leaving it outside. Rust? In CA you will need to spray water on it 1-2 times a week after use because CA is a desert and no rain like some areas.

love these grid down/SHTF solutions. Can you do one for water supply solutions? Not just water storage for drinking but a video on supplying stored water for everyday tasks like washing and also water heating for bathing.

I have all my solar power generators ready for grid down but I don’t have a way to supply water to my clothes and dish washers without city water pressure or if city water is contaminated.

Thanks!

I thought you had a free prepping checklist with disaster scenarios and supplies needed. I can't seem to find it I hope I am not thinking of the wrong channel.

Would be interested in trying one some day. It's on my list of potential gear to buy but it is lower down that list. I once did a cast iron dutch oven beef stew at a camp just by putting it directly in the fire for about 8 hours. Used alot more wood then a rocket stove would but best stew I ever made and others raved about it.

Looks awesome. And when you have unlimited funds and can get the best on the market when it comes to preps . A lot of people can’t spend spend 500 bucks on some c Channel welded together with plasma cutter sheet steel over it. If you going to spend 500 bucks on a chunk of steel get something you can use like a gun or ammunition. You can make the same thing out of cedar for 0.0 dollars.

What a great idea! Yeah, spendy, I might get the smaller one. 🤔 but I do love outdoor cooking, and propane cylinders for my Coleman stove are spendy, I will pay for this stove by all the fuel saved in a year or two!

has me wonder if this thing would work as a grill if you put an old BBQ top section ontop of the titan.

Unrelated but can you discuss the pros and cons of an electric bike? Does anyone think it'll be necessary? I live in Temecula.

It doesn't have to be a rocket stove like that. Any wood burning stove will do, even a folding wood stove, but it won't be as fuel efficient, nor will it be as durable. Wood gas stoves come in many sizes and are much more fuel efficient, and can be very affordable, so you should check those out first. As a single guy, a rocket stove is quite an overkill in terms of fire power, but I can understand if you want this if you have a large family to feed. And many in the comments have already mentioned, you can use bricks and cinderblocks, especially if you're not moving anywhere soon.
