Go to your phone > Bluetooth > find your device and press "Ignore" > try to pair it again. This worked for me.

Thanks for your thoughts. Appreciated! I've been doing some research trying to figure our best brand for quality and value. Thought it would be Garmin and, considering these type of issues being reported way too often, Garmin is out of the running. Connectivity should be the simplest of tasks.

Yeah. Long story short, Garmin's software is pretty flaky really. It's such a shame as I generally find their hardware about the best out there, but it's badly let down by unreliable and unintuitive software.

Was trying everything, powering off device, powering off phone. Resetting my Garmin to factory settings but all resulting in the same pairing failed message. Not till I found you vid that I cycled the Bluetooth on an off did it work. (I thought cycling the power to the phone was the same as cycling the Bluetooth so I never tried.) all is good now - Thanks!

Removing / re-adding watch worked for me.

It was not pushing scheduled activities from Connect to watch, this fixed immediately.

Make sure you switch on the LOCATION in phone settings, that's the simple thing why mine wouldn't pair (android).

none of this worked for me. it was very helpful though as I was able to sync my watch to my computer by manually updating the software so I wouldn't lose the data when I decided to restore to factory settings. this is what finally worked for me. had I not followed this video I would have lost my data!

I have garmin instinct 2s solar, and it was reset, the software version is 7. It does not connect to garmin connect via bluetooth (the six digit code is not shown at all). I cannot add it to garmin express too as windows says "it does not recognize the device". I do not know what to do now, as I am unable to connect it to a phone or even update it manually :(

Thanks for the help, I have tried this and it worked but at a wierd time when I wasn't even trying to connect this. Only problem now is everytime I want to move data from the watch to the app and vice versa I have the same problem every time. I might have to contact garmin. Great video :)

It says it is connected. But it still wont add my workouts to the watch. It keeps saying to "sync with Garmin Connect for next workout" - but it is connected. So not sure what to do. I have tried all the things.

Thanks so much! I've been trying to re sink my stupid watch for 3 days ... following all the pairing ect ... I watch this video and relize I just needed to turn phone off and on! Sheesh .. thanks

the Garmin Drive app has issues with connecting with their dash cams. having owned their dash cam for over six months now, they still haven’t fixed the connection bug. and from what i understand, this has been going on for awhile now… they need to pay their software engineers more

all yes BUT I connect and connect and connect every 2 or 3 days because once the phone is far away enough to lose connection with the watch it never connects back again automatically and It cant be the solution to uninstall, and install the app again and again every time just to establish the connection and adding the same device over and over again…
