Yes, let's all laugh at the work of a 16 year old, who was super happy about his work being published in a magazine and then found out that they took his story and published it as a book without his permission. To make matters worse, he never saw a single dime for his own work.
Hilarious that he never got rid of the stigma and was mocked for his story until he died.
Such fun, how we laughed.

His descriptions are just overdone and I don't think that's surprising for a 16 year old kid. It takes time and practice using a more mature perspective to write things in a simpler way as well as knowing what to include, emphasize, and focus on. And what to avoid, in order to make the narrative better.
