How much disruption did the first rail strike cause?

Millions of commuters across the UK have had their travel to work disrupted as the biggest rail strike in 30 years has taken place.

But in a post-COVID world, when working from home has become the norm, what impact has the strike had?

We have a railway infrastructure that was put in place to ferry people endlessly too and from work. Now covid has shown that a huge portion of office based workers don't need to contend with commuting anymore.
