Yeah, because of people like this and greedy commissioners, developers, etc Silver Springs Attraction shut down along with Wild Waters. Glass bottom boats was a ride, there was a small safari, zoo and a few other awesome things. Wild waters was a Waterpark right next door to silver springs. It was so much fun, safer and horses galore. Sadly, the greed has destroyed a once wholesome and kind countryside town.

I think Ocala is great I’ve visited and it’s lovely stop hating if u don’t like it skip it it doesn’t have many lakes or water like those places so that is a lie, but if u go around Ocala to like Daytona and more you’ll find great springs and beaches ❤

Silver Glen Springs is nearly an hour away from Ocala. Yes, technically it’s in Ocala national Park, but it’s nowhere remotely close to the city.

What’s missing here is the temperature of the water in those springs. It’s freeze-your-butt-off degrees in a lot them. Just fyi in case you’re not familiar with and prepared for that.
