I’ve experimented a lot with his NLS chain. Yes, it adds low end/low mid thickness, and some nice top end. BUT- and very importantly, it makes transients a bit mushy and flubby. It’s the Mike instances, specifically. Plus, it uses lots of CPU. I’d still use it on an instrument bus- but not drum or mix bus. I’m getting better results using a few instances of NLS Buss on Spike mode on my whole mix. Listening in a pro studio, fully treated with ATC SCM50ASLs and 2 15” subs

Is he using NLS bus as an aux ? Or is he running drums through it first then hitting his drum bus
