This song fires all my nostalgia cyclinders, it feels like something I would've heard in my childhood like in a dimly lit clothing store, an aquarium exhibit, or a waiting room that plays good music.

George makes some of my favorite music of all time but this song has it's tendrils wrapped around my the base of my lizard brain in a way that no other does.

I'm 2 tired 2 flesh this idea out more haha but there's something super conceptual about the way the altered "you never knew" vocals repeat and sound slightly different each time. sorta like when you say a word over and over and it starts to sound foreign. "you never knew, you never knew" repeats and starts to sound like "you run", as well as "from you" another time. Really interesting usage of distortion that results in a super layered non-linear expression of narrative and emotion.
