The only historical rom-com I’ve read is The Duchess Deal (I’m sure it’s already been recommended to you), but I really enjoyed it and will be reading more in that series! In the U.K. We r in lockdown/self isolation and I'm reading a lot and now I've ordered 3 books to be delivered because I haven't read scythe yet so I ordered that because you recommended it, clockwork angel because I still haven't read it and to all the boys I've loved before by Jenny Han. I've been reading the Shadowhunters series, and it's so good! I'm still on City of Bones, but I'm really excited to get the the infernal devices and the dark artifices (and chain of gold)!

For steak, I rely on a meat thermometer, and I make steak all of the time! Pull off about 10 degrees shy of your target. For medium rare I pull off heat at 120-125 and as it rests it’ll reach perfect medium rare!

You make me want to read books out of my comfort zone!

I love historical romance and really I don't care who knows it lol. It has always been my "go to" when I just needed to escape. I used to live for Catherine Coulter's historical romance books. I read them all, some twice. There is also Julia Quinn who will have her Bridgerton books on a Netflix series (I don't know when). Lisa Kleypas has a Wallflower series that is also very fun to read. I think Dangerous Alliance was a cute read, and I loved that it was not trying to be a Jane Austen novel. Enjoy your quest into HR!

You should check out Georgette Heyer. A British writer from the 1920s who wrote regency romances. They were definitely on the lighter more humorous side of things and she wrote a ton of them!
