Redbreast Irish Whiskies (12, 12 Cask Strength, 15 & 21 year) Reviewed

For St. Patrick's Day 2016, I sit down to review the full lineup of Redbreast Single Pot Still Irish Whiskies. I start with the standard 80 proof 12 year, then the 115 proof "Cask Strength" version of the 12 year, followed by the 92 proof 15 year and finally the 92 proof 21 year bottling. Sláinte!

As of 03-17-2016, my current bottle count stands at over 2,200 bottles. I am a Certified Specialist of Spirits and have also been certified by the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT). I've been actively collecting for the last two decades and what started as a small basic home bar has transformed (with the help and understanding of my wonderful wife) into what I think is a pretty nice collection. Thank you for watching and sharing in my passion.
Cheers!

Great overview. I agree the 21 is outstanding. I get peaches. Very impressive in how distinct the fruits come out on the finish

I had just poured a dram of the standard 12yr (I have always enjoyed this one) when I saw your video. I look forward to working my way through the range. Thanks for the detailed comparison!

You really sold me on the 12 year cask strength... I know what's on my list to get next now

Excellent review! Purchased 3 of the 21yo a month ago. The new 21yo release with a different label sells for about $80 more.

Excellent presentation, quick decision no swishing of the whisky as if it's a mouthwash or wandering into space trying to make up your mind. I enjoy Irish whisky immensely, especially Redbreast and have the entire collection but so far only consumed the standard 12yo.

My brother is a huge fan of Irish whiskey. He tried my barrel proof bourbon and loved it so I’m picking him up the cask strength redbreast based on your review. Thanks very much!

Picked up the RB 21 for my 60th in 3 weeks. The RB12 CS is incredible so I grabbed a backup of the fantastic batch B1/15

Cheers and Merry Christmas

Just ordered that basic 12y old. Basicly havent heard anything but compliments even for that 12y old. They call that cask strength 12y old "Priests bottle" in Ireland, because it was the go to whiskey for priests who were closet drunks :DD

my first video of your show....love your style...friendly detailed and informative...kudos.
the redbreast 12 is my first irish whisky....(I usually drink craft beers, wine, port and bubbly)...but after watching your show (and the whiskey vault) i had to go out and buy my first bottle of whiskey...will try it shortly...hope i'll enjoy it and lead into scottish whiskies, too.

I've really been wanting to get into Irish whiskies. I've had the standard Jameson before, but that's far from exciting. Thanks for giving me some direction! Loved the video as always. Keep up the good work.
