Squad Busters is Free 2 Play Friendly?

Is Squad Busters free 2 play? Can you play squad busters without spending anything inside of the game?

Consumables in this game is soo bad because it buffs a game mechanic directly. It is similar to getting extra elixir in CR or more housing space for war in COC. Moreover the fact they are purchasable rather than earned that makes it twice as bad. I currently have 25+ of keys, megas and rerolls and refuse to use them becuase it feels wrong but I am aware in squad league everyone just dumps consumables which makes me not excited to progress and happy in lower worlds.

I'm playing since the soft launch. It is free to play friendly. I haven't spent single penny in game. Also I'm not grinding this game day and night. I'm at finishing in Royale world. And my highest win streak is 19, as you see I'm just a moderate player.

Other than Mavis and Trader all of my commons are 3 stared except idiotic Barbarian who needs only 2 baby copies to 3 Star but refusing to show up in boxes.

When it comes to rare units I have 4 units (Medic, Bea, Nita and Trash) and all four of them are 3 stared. Special mention, Trash is the first 3 Star unit for me.

I have four epics ( King, Queen, witch, epic Trash). King is three stared. Witch is almost there.

As you can see I'm not that lucky when it comes to unlocking new units. But I'm enjoying the game. At first I thought it was more on the P2W side, but the more you play you can see it's not that bad. The gap between F2P and P2W will be so minimal.

Most games should be F2P friendly at start and then should go to paying aspects. But this games plays this in reverse. Once the opening bot matches ended P2W aspects hit you hard. Once you play enough and unlocked units it will feels okay. In future they have to fix this. If not then the retention rate will be so low.

The Global update sucked. Ultras are not unlockable by normal players. So it's fine and the decorations sucks. There is nothing new in this update other than going global.

Free to play progress in this game is going to be slow anyway. You'll run out of coins eventually buying chest tickets. From there, there really isn't any point in pushing unless it's for achievements or the pass. I guess for sport as well... Unless you're into hunting the weak.

Keys & Mega units are 100% pay2win

I play without consumables and megas, top300. 3rd in my country. I think the game can be played f2p but you HAVE to make peace with being in matches where you will be fighting for your life to stay in top5 and there are sometimes NO chances of finishing in the top 5.
